Mechanical Bull for Genesis 8 and 9
MECHANICAL BULL
I had several requests for an animate-able mechanical bull for DAZ. Apparently because of the way in which DAZ Studio handles XYZ rotations, getting a simple bull to buck and spin without twisting has been an issue for a while. To overcome this, I basically just cheated the problem and made the bull go up and down and rock and attached it to a spin-able gyro base to keep the spinning motion level (so it doesn t tilt when bull rocks). So surprise, surprise you can actually animate this mechanical bull in DAZ Studio!
I also created a digital control kiosk for it and the cushioned padding that surrounds it is higher detail than normal so it renders with some very realistic creases and wrinkles. The kit loads altogether as a sub-scene so all individual items will remain parented and positioned correctly. In addition to the base props, the bull also comes with removable eyes that glow. The control kiosk screen has multiple display options both with and without dubious options.
To top the new product off, I ve included pose presets for the G8 and G9 female figures including basic rider and other positions/poses. There are also two pose presets to position someone in front of the control kiosk. As usual, all poses, materials and presets are located inside the BULL s main directory file. I do that so you don t have to go digging for them in various other places. Everything you need to use the prop is found right there in one spot. You re welcome!
THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THIS PLAIN VERSION OF THE MECHANICAL BULL AND DUBIOUS VERSION OTHER THAN THE DUBIOUS VERSION CONTAINS ADULT ADD-ONS. If you don t need the dubious adult add-on options, this version is the right one for you. If you already own the dubious version, you do not need to purchase this version.

The downloaded files you purchased will be installed into your program directory here:
C: / USERS / USER NAME / MY DOCUMENTS / DAZ 3D / STUDIO / MY LIBRARY
PROPS and RUNTIME files will be found inside your MY LIBRARY downloaded package. Those files need to be copied directly into the MY LIBRARY location listed above. Make sure you are in the MY DOCUMENTS file. DAZ has a MY LIBRARY option in their program directory and it is not the same and files will not work if installed to that directory. So follow the path carefully and exactly. 99% of all customer support requests I get are due to customers installing into the wrong path or directory.
C: = The primary boot drive on your computer which is where DAZ Studio should be installed to. If you installed it on a different drive, you must find the location. See TUTORIAL.
USER NAME = Whatever name you used for your Windows account.
DAZ Studio nests program files in several different locations. Some have similar names. Make sure you locate the one where Genesis 8 Female is installed. That s your primary directory. Don t know where she is? See TUTORIAL.
Do not use the DRAG and DROP feature in Windows 10 or newer. It does not always place files appropriately (merging). I would advise copying the files carefully to ensure they get where they need to be. If they do not, the products will not work. WIN10 and newer inhibit drag-and-drop as a security feature to protect system files and of course, DAZ nested their primary library/directory in the protected operating files section of your computer (USER/MY DOCUMENTS) instead of in the programs section. I apologize if the monotony of copying nested files is annoying. Please blame DAZ not me. WINDOWS 7 users should not experience any drag-and-drop problems but if you attempt a file merge (drag-and-drop) and items do not install or work, double check to make sure all files got where they were supposed to be.
While installing TEXTURES, if you have any of my other products, you may encounter warnings about merging files where duplicate textures exist. Don t worry! I use several basic bump maps for lots of materials that are the same from prop to prop and rather than redundantly copy the same file over and over for each new prop, I just categorize these textures and refer back to them with new props. So if you have the DUBIOUS CHAIR installed, it will use the same bump map texture the DUBIOUS MECHANICAL BULL uses. So if you get that warning, it just means you already have a particular texture present in your library. No need to replace it. I m just doing my best not to clog up your library files. You re welcome!
