Lamp, 5-Orb Organic, Carmule, V1 3D Model
A free 3D model by Carmule; and Luke Turner (AKA Luqu, Luqu Trnr, Lukon100, Volcanoface, Doubt45, Illuwuz).
Note: If I revise this model and re-issue it, I will increment the "V1" to "V2" and so on.
Carmule made this in Blender and released it at CC0.
So I am hereby adapting it for use in Daz Studio and likewise releasing my adaptation at CC0.
The vertex and polygon count is for the whole thing in Daz high resolution.
This model can also accept Daz base resolution.
SHORTCOMINGS
Where the cord meets the lamp body, it ain't perfect.

VERSIONS AND FEATURES
This download includes the model formatted for both Daz Studio and in .obj.
The Daz Studio version loads the lamp as a scene subset with the cord parented to it, such that you can remove the cord if ya want.
The Daz Studio version has a morph for the cord, to elevate it and thus accommodate the thickness of various rugs when you sink the lamp into such rugs a bit.
The Daz Studio version has Daz point lights parented to it, inside the orbs. Light 'em up!
The .obj version does not have any materials applied, nor lights inside the orbs. This stuff is RAW!
But I do include the morph target for the cord elevation. Hang on to your seat - your program might load the light at a scale smaller of bigger than you expect!
MATERIALS
All versions are UV mapped with material zones for lamp body (called "Organic_Form"), orbs (called "Orb_Diffusers"), and cord (called "Cord").
The Daz Studio version has several materials presets to click on for your convenience. These presets call forth various shaders from the Daz Studio default resources collection as it was in 4.11.
INSTALLING THE DAZ STUDIO FORMATTED VERSION on a WINDOWS computer
The usual procedure. If you don't yet know the usual procedure, here’s my version of it that should work fine:
1. Unzip the download to some temporary folder, or some folder you have for just this sort of thing.
2. In the resulting unzipped folder structure, open the "Daz Studio Content" folder.
3. MERGE, rather than just copy, the folders inside the "Daz Studio Content" folder to your DAZ 3D Library.
Merging is an option you can pick when trying to copy. So start by simply trying to copy.
BUT… when the "Confirm Folder Replace" window pops up,
click on the "More…" word in the lower left corner to bring up the window that gives you the option to merge.
4. Click the "Yes" button.
The location of your DAZ 3D Library is likely to be: C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library
…given a standard DAZ Studio installation.
