Been meaning to recreate some Myer plays. This is great!
Langes Messer, V1 3D Model
A free 3D model by Luke Turner (AKA Luqu, Luqu Trnr, Lukon100, Volcanoface, Doubt45, Illuwuz).
Note: If I revise this model and re-issue it, I will increment the "V1" to "V2" and so on.
Long knife with small side guard for combat or hunting.
SHORTCOMINGS
This 3D model ain't perfect. It's construction reflects my current beginner's skill level with Blender.
But it looks ok from a typical distance, I think.
From some angles in strong light, the sharper edge of the blade will show faceting. Unfortunately, trying to reduce that faceting by applying sub-d will screw up the model's shape.
VERSIONS AND FEATURES
This download includes the model in both DAZ Studio format and .obj format.
MATERIALS
Both format versions are UV mapped.
For the Daz Studio version, the shader used on the handle wood is from the default resources collection, as it was for version 4.11.
OBJ format version users will need to use some other wood shader on the handle.
For the Daz Studio version, the texture maps for the metal are from TextureCan, and this download will place them in your Daz studio library at:

I am allowed to include TextureCan's images by way of their CC0 license.
The model loads with TextureCan's 1K metal image maps applied. But I also include TextureCan's 4K versions if you need them. You'll have to switch from 1K maps to 4K maps manually, in the "Surfaces" tab.
The OBJ version has copies of the TextureCan metal image maps too.
