Observation Deck, Tetrapoint Base, Add-Ons and Fix, Batch 1 3D Model
ADD-ON'S AND FIX BATCH 1 FOR OBSERVATION DECK, TETRAPOINT BASE
Required product: Observation Deck, TetraPoint Base, V1 - it is free and in my RenderHub store.
A free 3D model by Luke Turner (AKA Luqu, Luqu Trnr, Lukon100, Volcanoface, Doubt45, Illuwuz).
Note: If you have already installed my two other products, the toilet and/or the faucet, installing this package
will re-install the toilet and/or faucet again, prompting you to grant permission for over-write.
Whether you grant that permission is of no consequence to this package.
Note: If I revise this batch of add-on's and re-issue them, those revisions will appear in the subsequent batch.
I will thus increment the batch number from 1 to 2, and so on.
Vert and Poly count is for all new items together.
SHORTCOMINGS
These 3D models ain't perfect. Their construction reflects my current beginner's skill level with Blender.
But they look ok from a typical distance, I think.
WHAT YOU GET
GET 1. More parts for the Observation Deck.
+ Bathroom. (Left-hand side or right-hand side) (Rigged Daz Studio format or riggable raw .OBJ's)
+ Toilet. (Rigged for Daz, as a separate but bundled part.* Riggable .OBJ's included in the normal way.)
+ Faucet. (Rigged for Daz, as a separate but bundled part.* Riggable .OBJ's included in the normal way.)
+ Porch lights for the bottom of the elevator, or the bottom on pillars without the elevator. (Daz or .OBJ's)
+ A setup with just the porch lights on pillars, in turn on base platforms, for photo sessions. (Daz only)
GET 2. Fix for a problem with the bases.
+ The V1 bases have inverted normals. So here are the V2 bases that don't.
(The .OBJ updates are called "X03" for big bases and "X04" for small bases, instead of "V2")
+ Also, here are V2 assemblies that feature the V2 bases instead of the V1 bases. All better now.
GET 3. Updated icons for those flawed V1 bases and assemblies that use them, that say
"FLIPPED NORMALS ERROR. USE V2", to remind you not to use them anymore and replace them in your scenes with the V2's.
GET 4. V2 updated Default Materials preset to cover the new parts as well as the old.
This V2 preset resets all materials, on any part, except for the luminance values of any light emitting surface,
or the index of refraction values on the windows.
GET 5. Window reflection reduction for Daz IRay!
On interior renders, all these odd-angled windows make a lot of distracting reflections of the lights.
Maybe you like that? If you don't,
I here provide some materials presets that reduce these reflections by reducing the index of refraction value.
* This download includes the toilet and faucet as bundled items that get installed in separate product paths
so you can can easily use them on other projects.
But you will still find icons for these items among the Observation Deck parts,
as if they were meant only for the Observation Deck.
MATERIALS
Both format versions are UV mapped.
I provide a materials preset for only the default materials, for restoring to that default when convenient.
The materials image maps come from the Daz Studio default resources set, as it was in 4.11.
