Coffee Mug Mold – Cup Casting Mold – 3D Printing
This coffee mug mold is designed for producing custom cups or mugs using casting materials such as resin, plaster, wax, or silicone. The mold features a two-part construction with a dedicated cavity for the handle, ensuring accurate shape reproduction and easy demolding.
The model is optimized for both 3D printing and CNC machining, making it suitable for prototyping, small-batch production, and DIY manufacturing projects. Clean geometry and solid alignment help maintain consistent results across repeated casts.
Files are provided in Plasticity, OBJ, and STL formats, fully ready for manufacturing and further customization.
Settings & Manufacturing Instructions
For 3D Printing
Material: PLA, PETG, ABS, or resin
Layer Height: 0.2 mm
Infill: 25–30%
Supports: Not required
Print Orientation: Flat on the build plate
Post-processing: Light sanding and polishing on inner cavity surfaces
Tip: Apply mold release before casting to extend mold lifespan
For CNC Machining
Material: Aluminum, hardwood, HDPE, or tooling board
Tooling:
Flat end mill for roughing
Ball end mill for smooth inner surfaces
Finishing: Deburr edges and polish mold cavity
Tip: Ensure tight alignment and add vent holes if needed for air release
