Launch Daz Studio and make sure the G8 Female figure is selected as your active figure in the Scene tab.
Go to the top menu and click on "File" and then "Import". A dialog box will appear.
In the dialog box, navigate to the location where your OBJ file is saved on your computer. Select the OBJ file and click "Open".
The Import Options dialog will appear. Choose the appropriate settings for your OBJ file, such as the scale, texture coordinates, and material options. Adjust these settings based on your specific file if needed.
Once you've set the options, click "Accept" to import the OBJ file. The file will be added to your scene and positioned in relation to the G8 Female figure.
To attach the OBJ file to the G8 Female figure, select the OBJ object in the Scene tab. Then, locate the Parameters tab and scroll down to the "Actor" section.
Within the "Actor" section, locate the "Parent" parameter and click on the drop-down menu. Choose the G8 Female figure from the list to make the OBJ file a child of the G8 Female figure.
Adjust the position, rotation, and scale of the OBJ file to fit with the G8 Female figure as desired. You can use the Transformation tools in the Viewport or the Parameters tab to make these adjustments.
Once you're satisfied with the placement and appearance, you can further customize the material settings of the OBJ file by applying textures or shaders to it. This can be done by selecting the OBJ object and navigating to the Surfaces tab.
That's it! You have successfully imported and attached an OBJ file to the G8 Female figure in Daz Studio. You can now continue to refine and pose your character with the added OBJ geometry.
