Hello All,
I have been creating digital/virtual 3D models for over twenty years, starting with the use of 3D Studio, which is 3Ds Max now days. Also trained in the use of Maya, AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla, and more.
Now use Blender, as I have been for over ten years. Like most creators; there is a great feeling of accomplishment with creating 3D models and seeing objects I've created, on line and selling. It is nice to see a model I created come to life materially in a 3D printing. That's inspirational.

Pottery Vase 032 3D Model
This is a digital 3D model of a Pot or Potter vase, which was created using Blender. Blender is an open source software tool that you can download for free from Blender.org. You can find tutorials for beginners and for new features in Blender, on YouTube. I have used Autodesk Maya and 3DSMax and found Blender to be as powerful as either of those Autodesk software tools. I have been using Blender for several years. But I have owned Autodesk, 3D Studio before it became 3DSMax. I first purchased 3D Studio in 1992. I went through the tutorial book in six months; creating anything they showed in the tutorial book. I started creating animation, beginning with a bug story. I put that animation on a VHS tape and took the tape to Disney in Burbank, California. They said that they don't do 3D. Now Disney has their own 3D software tool. I then took the VHS Tape to Hanna Barbara, because they were in the same area. They didn't want to watch the video. Then I took the tape to Lucas in Santa Monica, to a building called Skywalker. They didn't want to watch the video either. I had originally created the insects and animation for some guys in our church. They told me that my bugs looked too real.
So, be creative and take advantage all that Blender can offer you. Use all the tutorials you can from YouTube, and maybe make some of your own.
Regards
Roger
