DAE to DUF Conversions Tutorial for Daz Studio

In this training package, we demonstrate the techniques required to use our method of converting a static Collada DAE format model into a Daz Studio compatible DUF prop. Why would you want to convert a perfectly good DAE model which can be easily imported into Daz Studio (DS) into the proprietary DUF format created by Daz3D? Understandably the answer will be unique to the personality of each user, but the most significant reason would be so that the model will now appear in the Content Library and can be easily used by just double-clicking its thumbnail image. Another benefit would be that the model can now be easily distributed to other DS users, and you can design and save pose sets for the model to use it with other items in DS. Our fully illustrated tutorial package explains everything you need to know and do in an easy-to-follow itemized process. The tutorials detail techniques required to successfully convert a DAE model to a DUF prop. Our method for converting a Collada DAE format model into a Daz Studio compatible DUF prop can be done by almost anyone in very little time. This package includes PDF, WMV and MP4 formats so that you can utilize it in the manner that best fits your learning style or project pipeline. The six basic steps required are outlined below.

* CREATE 3D MODEL AS DAE IN FAVORITE APP
* IMPORT AND ADJUST MODEL IN DAZ STUDIO (DS)
* EXPORT MASTER COPY OF MODEL DESIGN FROM DS
* IMPORT MASTER COPY OF MODEL DESIGN INTO DS
* CREATE DAZ PROP FROM NEW MASTER COPY IN DS
* TEST DAZ PROP FUNCTIONALITY IN DAZ STUDIO

Please note that this training was developed with Daz Studio 4.9 and may differ from future releases/versions of Daz Studio.

BONUS: Includes the Nova Guardian Knife weapon in DAE format to get you started.
