Great Bike! Functions and Renders well.
Modern Cafe Racer
UPDATED: 08/31/2025 to fix a small metadata warning when using Smart Content.
Modern Cafe Racer (Nvidia Iray), brings the past into the present. From an era where riders would modify their motorcycles for speed and handling, these bikes were noted for their minimalism. One could compare a cafe racer to a present day "naked" motorcycle. The cafe racer wasn't really intended to go from coast to coast, but rather cafe to cafe as quickly as possible on city streets. They were usually light weight and easy to maneuver in congested city traffic while being absurdly fun to ride. Top speed wasn't necessarily the goal as much as getting from zero to top speed was leaving these precision machines as glorified torque monsters.
This mesh includes eight different styles including one dubbed the Craigslist Special turning it's look into a complete rust bucket which could be perfect for those post apocalyptic settings. The mesh is rigged and also includes several custom made Blender morphs to allow many different actions which most other bikes don't include such as braking, downshifting, upshifting, passenger pegs, and more.
It includes one license plate which can be easily edited in your software of choice, and materials for daytime running lights and turn signals. The preset materials are available to easily create "blinker" effects for animating in Daz Studio by turning just a single on or off while not effecting the rest of the lights. You can choose between spinning a single wheel such as the rear tire for a burnout or having both wheels turn in unison for your animations.
Promotional renders were made with the model on Base and Subd 0. These values can be increased to High Quality, and Subd's value can be turned up for greater level of detail to produce stunning renders.
The motorcycle can be used with any version of Genesis through custom posing, but does include a single unisex pose for Genesis 9 to get you started. Simply load the bike into your scene, load a Genesis 9, and apply the pose to have everything line up. The pose was made with the default Genesis 9 Dev Load and may require light adjustments if your Genesis 9 character has been highly customized.
Installation is as simple as clicking Install in Daz Install Manager, this product is packaged as a Daz3d asset and also includes metadata to seamlessly integrate into Smart Content. Just drag the downloaded zip file into Daz Install Manager's downloads directory and install it like any other Daz3d asset. Or if you prefer, manual installation is also supported.
