Seeking Guidance in applying texture

Hey everyone, I'm new to Daz Studio and was wondering how to apply textures to both male and female anatomy, especially in a way that matches the character's skin texture. Any tips or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Some character textures come with matching anatomical elements textures. They're worth the extra costs.

Mon, Jun 30To be honest, I download free models from different sites, and with my limited knowledge, I’ve noticed that some characters don’t come with anatomical details. So I try to add anatomy parts from the web and combine them with those characters. For example, if I’m working with a character from a game or movie (male or female), I’ll attach the anatomy, but sometimes the placement ends up being off—like lower than it should be. I think I figured out why: I used a G9 anatomical add-on (Di*k-tator) with a G8 character. Even when I use the version installed via DIM, I still struggle with matching the texture to the character’s pelvic skin properly.
If you use DAZ Anatomicla Elements, select the gens (not the whole model) in the " Scene " pane and assign the texture to the gens.
If you use other grafts - for example from Meipe, Laudanum or 3DStreetWolf - the assignment is somewhat easier, as these products use selector scripts.
Good luck

Mon, Jun 30are you talking about the pdfs that come with the anatomies? i... didn't read anything to be honest I just thought in daz studio all i needed to do was load a character model, change their skin color, hair, clothes etc to what I like than render than bam image or animation created♂ I really thought daz was all that.
Thank you to everyone who shared helpful information with me - I truly appreciate it. I'm just a total newbie, fresh out of the cradle, who got inspired by the amazing games created with DAZ Studio and Ren'Py. I dove headfirst into DAZ without any prior knowledge, driven purely by the excitement and impatience to bring characters and scenes to life. So far, I've learned how to load models, pose them, and render (imperfect) images, and every bit of progress I make is thanks to the support and insights from y'all.
