Hi all
there is something that bothers me a lot!
How come, that people can claim not using an AI but writing at the same time, that they have used FaceApp.
FaceApp is an AI and every time, I open the landing page, I see AI enhanced render.
So it seems, that using FaceApp is ok, without the need to check the AI button.
And I'm am not happy about that!
So if you use ANY AI, doesn't matter the name, mark it was AI -used, be at least so honest instead of taking compliments on smiles you haven't done anything for but AI!

What worries me is that Renderhub allows Ai, provided you use that AI button. But I would have preferred if the whole AI crap had not been invented.

Honestly - am I too stupid to recognize Face App pictures? Or am I perhaps looking in the wrong area (have SafeSite: Moderate)?
By the way: 35.6 C (128.08 F) in the shade here ... and my study is under the roof. Feel like the wicked witch of the west at the end of the movie ...

I've used FaceApp in the past, but found that using Photoshop gives me much better results. I can choose a smile from my personal library of expressions, add natural yellowing around the tops of the teeth, and really customize the details. But it does raise a valid question: at what point does using FaceApp vs. Photoshop cross into the territory of being considered "non-3D rendered"?
We all know that facial expressions in Poser, DAZ, etc. especially smiles often leave a lot to be desired. The teeth are awkward, the expressions feel stiff, and frankly, they're tough to look at without some postwork. Personally, I dislike FaceApp because, while its quick, it tends to reduce the overall quality of the image. It softens detail and often adds a subtle blur, which is the opposite of what I want when Ive spent hours perfecting a render.
So heres the big question: if FaceApp and Photoshop are both being used only for postproduction to tweak things like smiles shouldnt they fall under the same category? Maybe we need a separate tag or checkbox for "Postwork" rather than lumping everything under "AI used."
Im not a fan of using AI to generate entire images. To me, that strips away the heart of what we do creating through imagination, skill, and effort. But I can understand the value of AI tools in post-production, especially when platforms like Adobe are now moving heavily into AI-based editing themselves.

Thu, Jul 03Since I still use my old CS5 I can't talk about, what Adobe can do and what not. But I can imagine, that Adobe is using AI more and more, my hope on this is, that the AI will destroy Adobe from within.
Cause there will come the point, when no one needs Adobe anymore, special thinking about the money-grabbing subs they are on.
I go with the limits, daz studio and CS5 are coming with and am happy with it.
I was never searching for perfection, only trying to get a little bit reality-touch, that's it.
Perfection for me is boring, it don't left room for any phantasy.
And AI generated pictures are boring, cause they are soulless and soon they will be too perfect, what will make them even more boring.
AI generated music, movies, what so ever, it will become a world without soul.
Scary!

Thu, Jul 03Adobe employs any strategy that allows them to reduce their workforce (or, those pesky humans that want to get paid for what? Work? Puff), increasingly at the expense of their diminishing user base. It's that straightforward.

Fri, Jul 04All of us are already 'redundant' (as my UK friends would say). It's just some of us don't realize it yet. Just remember, don't bite the hand that feeds you, at least as long as they are still feeding you.
I agree. Faceapp is Ai enhancement. Everyone of those images should be moved over. I flagged and reported a few, some were moved and others were not. Those are all ai enhanced, the artist themselves mention it clearly inthere comments, that they know its Ai enhanced. I took screenshots of the comments. and yet still there.
As for Photoshoping a real smile into a Dazstudio 3D render, that is actually no better. It's not a render if you photoshopped thereal world eyes and mouth from a real photo into it. Sorry, I don't buy your explanation, either.

Fri, Jul 04We can flag and report those pictures to the end of the day and never will get rid of all of them.
Because it will get harder and harder to tell, cause this damned ai gets better by the nano-second.
And people using that stuff, will sit and smile, clapping themselves on their shoulders, that they were able to fool us even more.
The sad thing is, I'm so extreme suspicious now and think a long time before I give a like for a picture.
AI has destroyed so much and we haven't reached the end yet.

Sat, Jul 05I also have reported some, and they did get moved. Like Beautiful Misfits said, the problem is it's sometimes hard to tell. If the artist isn't going to be honest, I'm not sure what we can do.

Sat, Jul 05And at this point we've reached that point again, no one can do anything about it, except those who "created" AI.
To put some watermark or what ever on the pictures, no one can remove.
But this, I'm afraid, will never happen

If the "AI" enhanced gallery is not default, then maybe it should be. Put it all in the "AI" enhanced gallery and make the "Artist" declare/attest that no "AI" enhancement was used by checking a box to move it to the regular gallery. Right now one can claim ignorance for not clicking the "AI" enhanced box; but if it were switched then that intentional act is tied to a piece with detectable "AI" enhancement and both can be called out or flagged.

Sun, Jul 06The thing is, you have to click one, when you wanna post a render, either use of or not used AI.
And people who aren't honest never will be honest.
They need the flattery, all the "oh so good, oh you're amazing" comments like we need the air to breath.
It's called the dopamine-kick and they will do everything for it to feel good.

Sun, Jul 06I am addicted to that dopamin kick, but it doesn't work with one line and one click only.
It really takes some work, in order to feel good.
"Work"= learning something new about the software, you are using.
introducing something you learnt about whatever anyway.
Overcoming some obstacles, that have been bothering for a while.
sacrificing some hair
shedding some tears
invest in a new mouse, becaus you destroyed the previous one.
and so many more options are part of the creative process.

Sun, Jul 06I would say, that is the good way to get dopamine
The other one is the one I wrote about, it's the same with fb and co, it's all about the hearts or likes or whatsoever, the more clicks the better it is.
That's why people check all the time for some reaction, posting every sh*t they can come up with, just for this one like.
It's sad, but that's what all these "social" media are there for. It's an addiction, and people don't realize it.

Sun, Jul 06"just for this one like."
This reminds me of a French song by Michel Delpech, "Pour un flirt" (For a flirt)
There's just one excerpt that's related:
"Pour un flirt avec toi" (For a flirt with you)
"Je ferais n'importe quoi" (I'd do anything")
That could be adapted into "For a like from you, I'd do anything"

Sun, Jul 06This song was played back home so many times, like so many others back those days, when Germanys radio stations were playing them a lot
And yes, pour un flirt / pour un "like"
Btw. is there any translation for this "like" except "j'aime"?

Sun, Jul 06For once, it's English that's more precise than French
J'aime => I like
J'aime => I love

J'aime => I like
J'aime => I love
