For 4 years , I worked with Daz but was always held back.. my old slow computer made it impossible to add new environments and details the way I wanted. But now, thanks to your support, I was able to buy a new computer that lets me work comfortably and quickly.
This exact environment you see in the picture .. I once tried to create it before. It took me hours, and I couldnt finish it. Now, I can freely create images like this in just minutes.
By the way, this image is from my visual novel game that Im currently developing.

I feel this thread to the soul. I've worked with a very out-dated rig( around 15 year old). With the support I managed to get a new computer too and now it's a race to learn a lot of things. It's always good to see others experience the same. Btw, this visual novel game -is it the adult type or normal?

Tue, Jul 01Hoely you will post some shots from you rvisual novel. Always interesting to see what people are creating.
That looks very good!
Yep - good hardware is a great help. I don't even know how I managed to get anything done with my " potato PC " in the beginning (a long time ago)
Good luck, fun and success with all your projects

I know how painful it is to work with a PC that is running out of steam. I bought mine in 2012, as I amortized it well, I am inquiring to keep my next PC for so long

I just dont think they build computers like they used to. To have longevity. I have both and old Dell and Compaq that start up and run their respective operating systems, win3.1 and win98 even today, and yet I bought comupters in the last 5 years that have failed.

Wed, Jul 02If I followed the evolution of the production of electronic components for a fairly long period, it was Japan, then Taiwan and then China. This is an insufficient explanation because in fact there are several levels of quality, that for everyone's PCs, and servers and surely some intermediate ranges.
Just out of curiosity, what are you running these days?
Back in 2020 when I first started, I had an Invidia 1070 TI video card. Needless to say, I had to quickly lower my expectations and learn how to better manager resources and asset usage in scenes. When I got my newer machine a year later, those render times were a lot better.

Fri, Jul 04Happy you got the hardware that allows you to create beautiful renders! Capable hardware makes a huge difference in how we render scenes.
can relate to this. spent years making stuff on pretty shitty desktops and laptops and I currently make and edit my renders on an 2013 iMac, hence hindering my ability and vision for more complex and large-scaled renders.
glad you're able to get something that is fully able to fulfill what you want to achieve !!
