Garry's Mod recognition.
109I don't know about y'all but I found it really intriguing and even dope that Renderhub recognizes Garry's Mod as a software for art.
that game can really let you do just about anything if you put your mind and heart to it, especially with talented modders and artists making tools and such.
I might be the only one on this site posting Garry's Mod works, but maybe someday there will be someone else who gets inspired and tags along.

I remember Garry's Mod from a couple(?) of decades ago when it was first used to create game add-ons for Half-Life.....or was it Quake II?

Wed, Jul 09I think that would be the Valve Hammer Editor. people still use it to this day using a fan-made version that is MUCH MUCH better than the regular Hammer editor lmao
also when Garry's Mod came out in 2004, it was mostly just used for people who really loved the Source engine physics shit and then it just expanded upon there.

Thu, Jul 10That gravity gun was the best thing about halflife2. all those puzzle being solved using physics was revolutionary at that time. Couple decades ago, and still remembered.

Thu, Jul 10same, I really love when the gravity gun became supercharged at the end of the game and you could just vaporize the Combine soldiers lmao
Pretty sure It is a Half Life MOD expansion. Video games and digital art go together. And always will.

Wed, Jul 09yeah, Gmod is exactly that. the most interesting thing is that the mod actually uses code from Half Life 2: Deathmatch mixed in with base HL2, hence the weird quirks of Deathmatch that pops up in Gmod lmao
and you're totally right about video games and digital art.
