dforce timeline question

hello i hope someone can help me. i am trying to learn dforce in daz studio and i have some question. i see some people saying they use the timeline for a simulation and some people say they just use simualtion settings and click simulate. 


can anyone give me any tips on what is better? if you are not animating, what advantages so you have if you use the timeline? any tutorial that you know on best how to use timeline?

Well, Dforce is a cloth sim, so technically it's an animation. I don't use it, but I do use the cloth sim in Blender and having a timeline definitely helps. That way, you can cycle through frames to find a frame you're satisfied with.
