Character Creator 5 - Opinions?

CC5 is out now and a free trial is available.
Have you tried it?
So, what do you think, besides its prizing?

Even at a little shy of $500 they are the best value in software today, as other lesser asshole companies nickel and dime you for updates for their rentware, If I save enough I'd buy it!

With Character Creator, it's possible to import and modify Genesis 3 and Genesis 8, then animate them in Iclone without any real difficulty.
To my knowledge, it's not possible to easily import a character (and its texture) created with Character Creator into Daz Studio without completing all the Figure Setup, Joint Editor, etc. steps before animating it. I'm eagerly awaiting this possibility.

I like Character Creator, but combining all of it, such as iClone and Character Creator 5, makes it far too expensive for most people. I have not tried Character Creator 5 yet, but still, five hundred dollars can feed a family of four for a month in Latin America, that's how I lens how expensive it is from my point of view.

Mon, Sep 01Five hundred dollars is a third of the minimum wage in France for a full-time job. On the other hand, you buy it once and it's good for many years, compared to the price of Photoshop online.
So, I played with the demo version a bit.
The good stuff first:
I really like the skin material of the new CC5 HD figures.
Creating morphs at a higher resolution level, drooool!
Did not test this, but adding dynamics to hair and clothes seem to be easier, than in DAZ Studio.
Not as good:
Those new figures are not that new, in order to keep compability. Obviously the same mesh.
Using the transformer to "convert" your DAZ Character is a good idea, but the results are rather, ... o.k. for backgrounds.
I still do need to test Accu Rig, by importing a DAZ Character into Character Creator.
What I don't like:
Like Meta Human, Genesis 9 CC5 figures are focusing on faces and expressions.
(don't get me wrong, this is absolutely important, but body shapes and joint bendings seem to fall short.)
So nothing for having characters in bathing suits (or less)
What DAZ studio can do great, character Creator is lacking and where DAZ Studio falls short, Character Creator (and IClone) are really shining.
Would be perfect, if you could only use DAZ figures with all there features natively in a Reallusion environment.
I will have an eye on Character Creator, but I still don't think, I will spend that amount of money.
Visciously, I could call the Reallusion environment a background character and animation app.
For foreground and leading characters I'd still prefer a DAZ G8 figure.
