Character video "rotational" (CLOSED)

My newest character, GD Cassandra, has something I like to call a "character rotational". It is a 360-degree rotation but done in steps. To see this "rotational" please go to my character at:

If anyone posting a Daz Genesis 8 male or female character to their store would like something similar for their product page, get in touch with me by message for more information.

In case you didn't know, you can embed videos in the forum here.
Just click the little video icon on the message toolbar, and insert the video link.
In this case, it would be https://vimeo.com/708692018 from the RenderHub Vimeo page.

I tend to do this for my products, too.
1) I take a fast render setting (generally 50 iterations with low detail),
2) Open up animate lite animation timeline tab
3) Make sure character Y rotation is at 0 at the very beginning
4) Go to the last frame on the timeline (I end on 3 usually!) and type in 360 for the Y rotation
5) Go to render settings tab and switch to movie
6) Render! It'll make an AVI format video!
It will make a 360 rotation that lasts for 3 seconds.
You may set it on your product page on loop.
For me, this sort of video takes less than 30 minutes (with my settings) and provides a good idea about what kind of product it is to potential customers!
Thanks for sharing your method!
Hope this helps someone.
Bye bye now.

Mon, Aug 22, 2022I sometimes have trouble with Studio rendering straight to an AVI, so I render the frames and process them in KdenLive. That way I have full control over the video codec.

Mon, Aug 22, 2022I don't even know what a Codec is
So you just move them frame by frame?
Couldn't be me..! Sounds too hard!

Tue, Aug 23, 2022The way I do the rotational for my character is I set the girl on one pose, then do 9 frames, from 0 to 360, at 45 degree increments. Then I use Adobe Premiere to assemble the nine frames, leaving roughly 3 or 4 seconds exposure time for each frame.

Tue, Aug 23, 2022that is another nice approach, so you can render in Hi quality and save some time (I will try it as well )
Thanks grafkdesigner
Thanks grafkdesigner
To make my videos with Daz I leave the default number of frames (30/s)
Timeline parameters
total 60 frames
frame 0 Y Rotate 0
frame 30 Y Rotate 180
frame 59 Y Rotate 359
render setting
Engine:viewport
Render Type: movie
------
Using parameter 359 instead of 360 prevents 2 successive images from having exactly the same angle when the video is looping (which is the case on RenderHub)

Tue, Aug 23, 2022That sounds good, I'll give it a try though I have tried using Studio for the rotationals and it didn't work right.
