Walkman and Cd Player from the 1990s era (CLOSED)

It's saddening how when I look for items I could use that reflect the greatest era of all time, the 1990s. I can never find it.
I want to see more interactive products for daz like that. What I'm interested in now is 1990s props and electronics like the walkman being one of the major ones.
CD player would be nice but I'd rather have the walkman that use cassette tapes for Genesis 8. I requested the arcade machines before, and nobody ever stepped to the plate to do those either...I know of an artist I can go to directly to create these things on renderosity but he's got a lot of projects to do at the moment.
So I figured maybe someone skilled around here would be willing to take on the task? There has got to be someone around here willing and interested in these ideas I've been throwing out there.

I found a cd player
daz3d.com/cd-player-cd-case-and-cd
it's look like a radio, and maybe that's not the shape you're looking for.

Thu, Sep 22, 2022No I already bought that a long time ago. I mean like a portable one.

Here's the thing. To make something like that and tie it to a DAZ proprietary figure, it makes no sense from a "vendor" standpoint. I mean, you'd probably want this player to have buttons that move, and maybe a door that opens and closes, right? The vendor money is in things like figure poses, morphs and textures. Characters. Props are more of a generalized thing. Props can be used anywhere. So I suggest that you look outside the DAZ walled garden for what you need. If you hire someone to make one for you specifically, you're gonna pay a lot of money, and for good reason. Thinking about a cassette Walkman-type model to use in 3D software, as long as you don't need a high level of detail, it should be pretty easy to model one. Detail would take some UV work beyond basic shaders.
Everyone starts out not being able to model anything. Years ago I was in need of an accessory that is very popular in the real world, but nobody in the 3D space had ever modeled one. Not knowing jack about modeling, I made one out of necessity. I had no idea what I was doing. People have actually bought that model, and to date it is still the only one available anywhere. So please don't sell yourself short. If you can manipulate DAZ Studio with any sort of skill, you can model a hard surface portable player in Blender. And it's a lot easier to do than it was 8 years ago. There are tons of free tutorials out there.
People in the DAZ space often take suggestions like that as some sort of threat, so I fully expect to be lambasted for it. It's part of the reason why I have very little to do with the likes of the Renderosity community anymore. If you want it badly enough, you'll build it. I know you can do it, because you're already working in 3D.

Fri, Sep 23, 2022No offense, but I don't have time to be fukin around with all that. If I could sit here all day and just make stuff in blender, I wouldn't even bother to create graphic novels and comics anymore which requires a lot of work. I asked around here, and if no one wants to make the thing then that's fine. There are other platforms I can go to and ask around. I don't know anyone in the daz space who gets offended when i asked them to make something. They either say yes they'll do it or no they can't. Truform made every single video game console ever when I asked him to do it, the guy is possibly one of the coolest vendors I met off Renderosity. I'm aware that vendors would rather just make clothes, and all that stuff. I only occasionally ask around Renderhub since I barely have much luck here. At any rate it won't be that hard to find someone to do it when I have the money to pay for it to be made. In this day and age vendors can't afford to be overpriced anyway so the only thing they can do is be reasonable about it or simply refuse to do it when someone ask them to. If they refuse, then they refuse. Like I said there are hundreds if not thousands of vendors I can go to when the time is right. RenderHub is just a test run.
