I know a lot of people want to have the latest & greatest. I, myself, have a ton of G8 stuff. However, G8 and above is a memory hog. I'm lucky if I can render a complete scene with two G8 characters and a background.

... and for my stories I prefer G2 & G3 so I can fit multiple characters into a scene.
I'd be interested in new characters, morphs, clothing and accessories for G2 & G3.
Just so you know, there is still a market for this stuff.
Also, keep in mind, if you release stuff for G8 & G9, you are competing with tons of other developers but very few developers are making stuff for G2 & G3 so your stuff will stand out.

I understand what you mean. I love G8 and use it primarily, but I use G3 a lot for extras in scenes to cut down my render time. I'm working on a story, I published a little of it on here before it was really ready, so I'm taking a while to flesh it out, let it gestate into something a lot more robust, and I was thinking using more G3 would help flesh out the process.
I honestly have no idea how to do skins yet, just morphs. I had a couple of G8 ones on here, but they were technically violating TOS because they were conglomerates of existing work rather than made with merchant-resource morphs. HOWEVER, the main G3 merchant resource morphs recently went on sale, so I snatched them up and had considered maybe using them to create a more robust, easier-to-render library and just save the G8 models for stuff that needs close-ups. So I might be experimenting with that over the coming months, probably more after the holiday season than before.

Sat, Nov 05, 2022I am looking for UNIQUE looking characters so they stand out. I know that all characters are different from each other but I'm talking about something that would make them SIGNIFICANTLY different making them immediately stand out. For example, Sylvester Stallone from Rocky I stands out more than Harrison Ford from Star Wars. Barbra Streisand stands out because of her nose. If you check out the link that I provided, you see that a lot of my characters immediately stands out. I'm looking for more characters like that in G2 & G3 for rendering reasons.

Sat, Nov 05, 2022Very interesting ... I stopped looking at their daily emails because it usually contained the newest stuff which I could see just by going to the website. Tell me, is there some way to search for individual characters in DAZ? When I try doing a search, I end up getting accessories, texture for those accessories, etc. I'm just interested in characters that I haven't purchased and morphs for those characters.

Sat, Nov 05, 2022The search in fact I agree with you does not throw results as you would expect if you aim for G3 items. But where I saw all the G2 and G3 items was in the specials that been announced or the emails they send. In fact I always keep an eye on those. Yesterday was a hair deal out with mainly G3 hairs.
If Dial Fusion and Shape Rigger Plus (both of which I use in creating my G8 female characters) are compatible with G3Fs then I shouldn't have a problem creating G3 girls. It is an interesting subject that you raised though.
I used to "manipulate" already created G3 females, but never saved them as my own creations for obvious reasons, the biggest being I couldn't sell them. And, as far as creating their skins, I use Skin Builder 8, and I know for a fact that there's a Skin Builder for G3s also.
I'm going to investigate this further and see if I can "open the door" to G3 female creation!
