Kaos3D - How to use my 'Reskin Me' products (CLOSED)
577A mini tutorial for any of my customers having trouble understanding how to use my 'Reskin Me' Geoshell utilities. Plus a couple of tips overcoming memory issues should they arise.
1) Load Genesis 9 into Daz Studio 4.21.0.5 (or above).
2) Select Genesis 9 in your scene.
3) Now load in my Geoshell from the preset found in: PeopleGenesis 9AnatomyKaos3DReskin Me - Genesis 8 Female to Genesis 9.
4) Load in the Genesis 8 Female. Apply all of the materials you need to make up your character.
5) Now copy material by material from Genesis 8 Female to over to my 'G8F Geoshell to G9' on the 'Surfaces' tab.
Now you can delete Genesis 8 Female from your scene. Or use it in conjunction with 'G8F/M Pose Transfer to G9' by richardandtracy to transfer a Genesis 8 Female pose over to Genesis 9. The script is very simple to use. It has two dropdown menus, one to select the Genesis 9 figure and one to select the Genesis 8 Female (by default).
A side note: This pose transfer utility also works very with Genesis 8 Male poses. As I have been using this since it's release without any issues.
Usage Tips:
If you are experiencing extremely high memory (RAM) usage... or in very rare cases system crashes when using any of my 'Reskin Me' products, all you need to do is reduce the subdivision of the Geoshell to something your system can handle.
There is double the polygon resolution of the Genesis 9 figure (approx). So plenty of resolution at it's lowest level to give you a smooth result when rendered. In addition you can also reduce the Genesis 9 figure down to (SubDivision Level 1 | SubDRenderLevel 1) on the 'Parameters' tab, under GeneralMesh Resolution.
As you are not rendering the main Genesis 9 body mesh. As the Geoshell preset hides it on application. This is by design as we can't use Genesis 8 uvs directly on Genesis 9. So there is not need to increase render times with a mesh that is not seen.

Hello. I bought one of these and it no longer shows up in my collection. I also planned on purchasing the bundle, but can't find it in the store now. Did you take it down?
