Improper Product Folder Structure (CLOSED)

(Reposted here as per Foxy 3D's request)
See for example there's a couple products I bought for facial expression morphs. The installation instructions again was something new, but it didn't seem
very weird. Just open the contents and put them in My Daz 3D Library folder.
At first I thought this was interesting because for once it seemed extremely simple. OK.
I had downloaded some poses from this vendor before and installed them with no problem at all, so let's see.
What's the catch?
There is no such file folder with that name anywhere on this computer. Anywhere. I have spent literally days systematically searching every single file
folder on this machine for it. Every day, over and over and over again. It does not exist. I even searched all folders which are not even part of Daz. Nope.
Not there either. It doesn't exist. I can't drop files into a folder which is not there. I looked in EVERY file folder and program on this computer. Every last
one of them. Including photos, music, and videos.
The only folder I found which is close, I thought was it, except it is specifically for Genesis 9 morphs. I thought it might be it but when I looked closer
I saw My Daz 3D Library was only part of the name, and anyway what I'm looking for is specifically for Genesis 8. OK so that explains why I got the
little red circle with a line through it when I tried to put those files in there.
The vendor thought it wasn't installing because I need Genesis 8 figures. Good theory except virtually ALL my figures are Genesis 8 and I have a LOT
of morphs and expressions for them not only from the Daz store, but elsewhere.
So, another thing I like about Renderhub is when weird things like this happens, the products in general are mostly inexpensive so I'm not out a lot
of money if I decide to save myself the aggravation and just give up on it. Who knows, maybe some time within the next year I will accidentally find
something that makes it work.
So yeah... a standardized way of installing files which works every time would be a HUGE help.

When I started using DAZ Studio I faced similar issues. When I loaded Genesis 3 Female, a morph was applied that totally distorted the character. It took me a while to figure out what was going on and how to remove this morph.
In another thread I had described the structure of my packages for a prop
My Library - data - your_nickname
My Library - props - your_nickname
My Library - Runtime - Textures - your_nickname

know that Foxy3D will complete my answer and give a link to a video that details the structure of the packages.

LOL - I'm glad to hear you have that much faith in me.
I don't know everything - but I try to help as much as I can...

@Tourmaline72 - Thanks for re-posting this. It makes more sense for it to be its own thread.
First of all - A customer should never have to be inconvenienced like this.
RenderHub is trying to help vendors use a more logical and standardized product folder structure.
The owner recently created a video that we have been linking Daz vendors to:
https://www.renderhub.com/learning/proper-folder-structure-for-daz-content-best-practices
I'm sorry you had that experience.
Please send a message to RenderHub Support with a link to the problem product(s).
https://www.renderhub.com/info/contact-support
When a customer reports a problem with a product, RenderHub staff will investigate.
If problems are found, the product(s) will be removed from the marketplace and sent back to the vendor for an update.
"...the products in general are mostly inexpensive so I'm not out a lot of money..."
Actually, you shouldn't be out *any* money. That's not right.
If you buy a product, it should work. If it doesn't, the vendor should fix it.
If they don't, then you deserve a refund - and RenderHub will grant you one.
And the product will be removed from the marketplace so it doesn't inconvenience any more customers.
In the future - if you ever have a problem with a product, contact the vendor for help.
If the vendor does not respond or does not resolve the issue, then contact Support for assistance.
RenderHub will certainly take care of you if the vendor cannot.

See I don't think there's a problem with the product, and I don't believe the vendor deliberately sets up the files to be
a puzzle then sits back and laughs while people try to figure it out. I don't think that at all.
I was feeling good to finally after years of trying having a way to install zip files.
Except... apparently there are infinite ways to arrange those things and then you have to figure out the puzzle to
install them. Infinite ways to set them up but it's trial and error - sometimes a LOT of trial and error - to discover
the magic formula to install them. It took me about a month to solve one of these puzzles and I solved it with just
plain luck.
Contacting the vendor - sometimes - helps. I'm at a disadvantage because I usually don't know what tech terms
to use, which also means I don't understand the terms they're using. So there is kind of a language barrier too.
So if you notice times when I don't add anything new to my gallery, I'm either experimenting with stuff - which
is really fun to see what effects I can get - or I'm trying to solve some weird rubik's cube zip file I downloaded.

When you unzip the files you can look to see what the folder structure is, where are files located
Example

For expressions, if you only see a 'data' folder than the expressions are dials in the character
Yes, an artist can include icons to spin those dials, but some don't
In that case I go into the data folder and see what the expressions are titled so I know what I'm looking for
You usually find dialed expressions by clicking on the head of the figure and looking in the Parameters tab

Hope this helps a little

When I open zip files, what I see looks nothing like that and I get absolutely nothing about where the files are located or the folder structure.
I know how to find them once they're installed.
The problem is I can't follow the directions to install them because they tell me to put the contents of the zip file into a folder which does
not exist.
Well, it DOES exist, sort of. I see it when I open Daz. There's two of them actually. Can I drop the contents of the zip file there? Nope. I get
a black circle with a line through it when I try.

I will say that when I DO encounter this, I don't buy anything else from that vendor until I figure it out.
It's not a matter of being spiteful, I just see no need to waste any more time and money trying to solve
more of their wacky puzzles until I can actually use the file(s) I have.
Now as for the files in question, I've been trying to figure it for 16 days now. I give up. The only explanation
the vendor has given me is that they're for Genesis 8 figures and I need to get some of those. I have more
Genesis 8 figures than any other figures, I've told them this, and the vendor apparently is baffled. The
problem is the instructions tell me to load this into a folder I do not have. I'm done looking for it. It is not
there. I even put my more technologically advanced 13 year old on the case and he doesn't get it either.
So I'm done. I have other things to do.
