How do I build a new figure (CLOSED)

It is the same system that the ancient Greeks knew.
You choose a suitable marble block and place it in it
Studio. Then all unnecessary materials are removed,
the surface polished smooth, paint applied (almost all statues
were known to be colored) and that was it.
I take a block of points and vertices. Remove the unnecessary parts,
smooth the surface and put the texture on it.
That's all folks.
Do it exactly like this and you will have fun with it.

I followed the advice but...
I took a block of marble,
I loaded Daz Studio in full screen
I inserted the marble block into Daz's viewport
Since then my screen is broken

Wed, Nov 08, 2023The stone (marble) does not have to be inserted into the viewport, but the other way round - i.e. the monitor with the viewport must be placed upside down on the stone and then pressed down slightly. Then this step will work.
My problem at the moment: there are lots of tools - but I haven't found a hammer yet, I only ever get some kind of arrows or crosshairs, but you can't remove anything from the stone with them.
I think I should read the instructions a bit more carefully.

Wed, Nov 08, 2023sorry, but the marble is not for Daz-Studio, only for a sculptor studio.
For Daz-Studio you have to use a block of points and vertices only.
Better luck next time

The Basematerial for a Figure, all out of Points and Vertices

After removing of not nessesary Parts and smothing the Surface

The finished Figure with all Paint and addet Clothing and Hair.
Easy done with my advice

Studio has zero modeling tools, it can't even generate primitives properly.

Thu, Nov 09, 2023If you talking about Daz Studio, you can actually model in it, I tried once a while back.
https://ibb.co/qpbHDQ6
The weird glowing thing I modeled 100% in Daz, sure its not great and needed more Subdivisions but it can be done, its just not as easy as it would be in other 3D programs as Daz wasnt really intended for that but they needed to grow with the times and add things in.
You can edit mesh, model, bake, layer textures, even do fluid simulation in Daz

Thu, Nov 09, 2023I am happy with the results of my models. If all unnecessary points and vertices are cleanly removed, the result is impressive. Please do not put marble in or on the Daz Studio. The screens can't stand it. Not even in full screen mode. A pity.

Schade.

Thu, Nov 09, 2023I'm not so stupid as to try to fit a piece of marble into my screen.
Google translation gave me a strange text that inspired this joke!

I think I miss read your post.
I loaded some marbels into daz studio instead of a slab of marble.
Screen went black and I can no longer find the marbels in my products.
Seems I've lost my marbels now

Fri, Nov 10, 2023@CosmicEnvisions:
There is a (small) chance to get your marbles back: sometimes, when they are hungry, the DAZ Bugs collect things from the viewport, crawl through the GPU and stash the food in the system trash. If you're lucky, you can recover them there.
@Hannes W:
Sorry - aber deine Steilvorlage von oben konnte man sich einfach nicht entgehen lassen. Hoffe, die interessant Beitrge hier nerven nicht. Und ja - den Spruch von Michelangelo und dem Lwen kenne ich auch
I'm sorry - but the opportunity you gave us above simply couldn't be missed. I hope the "interesting" posts here don't annoy you. And yes - I know the saying about Michelangelo and the lion too
