'An error is the more dangerous in proportion to the degree of truth which it contains'.
'A man only understands what is akin to something already existing in himself'.
'Common sense is the measure of the possible; it is composed of experience and prevision; it is calculation applied to life'.
'The wealth of each mind is proportioned to the number and to the precision of its categories and its points of view'.
'To feel himself freer than his neighbor is the reward of the critic'. - Amiel's Journal
'The origin of Lady Justice was Justitia (or Iustitia), the goddess of Justice within Roman mythology. Justitia was introduced by emperor Augustus, and was thus not a very old deity in the Roman pantheon.
Since the 16th century, Lady Justice has often been depicted wearing a blindfold. The blindfold was originally a satirical addition intended to show Justice as blind to the injustice carried on before her, but it has been reinterpreted over time and is now understood to represent impartiality, the ideal that justice should be applied without regard to wealth, power, or other status. The earliest Roman coins depicted Justitia with the sword in one hand and the scale in the other, but with her eyes uncovered. Justitia was only commonly represented as "blind" since the middle of the 16th century.
The first known representation of blind Justice is Hans Gieng's 1543 statue on the Gerechtigkeitsbrunnen (Fountain of Justice) in Bern'.
Well done with your Blind Justice render follow-up, especially the use of your atmospheric lights and fluttering butterflies.

I especially liked this phrase. That's how it should be.
Thank you a million for your comment, so rich and descriptive.
I wanted to describe in essence, what you very well said.
The addition of those hanging in the background behind the fog, evokes all those condemned, without reason (all those failures in justice), so covered and that so few can see...
The snake at the feet of justice evokes that hand that always tries to do its justice, and change the tables due to its status.
I tried to recreate what justice currently was, in many places.
Butterflies are my particular imprint. where all the spirit is put in each of my photographs.
A hug!!

A beautiful weekend for you too! -))!!
Honestly, the atmosphere in this render and headlighting with the stark shadows on the face and glare on the metal makes this such a beautiful and well executed design. The colors are fantastic. Great job and best of fortune in the contest!

Thu, May 30, 2024Thank you for your comment. I'm very glad you like it.
I wanted to highlight several focal points for the photograph with the lights:
-Justice and order begin as something divine, but as you go down the photograph and advance in the image you can see how darkness and a gloomy aura threaten to truncate everything
Thanks for your wishes!! I am super excited. Im crossing my fingers. *-*)!!
