A suggestions for car makers ... (CLOSED)

I own a number of digital cars ... Jeep Gladiator, Ford Bronco, Ford Expedition, etc.
It would be nice if the roof could be made invisible so that the camera could zoom in on the characters sitting inside.

Here's a quick little render so you can see it in action the way you'd want to use it.

Sat, May 04, 2024Did not know that.
For cars, I would just try to find the right camera position and the right length and width to get the right (or close enough) view that I wanted.

Sat, May 04, 2024@dirtrider00 - No problem!
And yeah, it's one of those not-so-known features that can be very useful.
@MKDAWUSS - Yep. If that way doesn't work, this will allow you to get any camera angle you want.
It can take a little bit of fiddling to get the plane to "slice" right where you want it.
The plane also needs to be facing a certain way to "slice the object open" toward the camera.
And... You need to be in Iray preview mode to see what's happening.
But once you understand what it does, it's very easy to use.
@dim35 - You don't need to buy anything. It's built into Daz Studio. Just check out the video at the 0:29 mark.

@dim35 - I'm sorry for hijacking your "feature request" thread and turning it into something else.

Big reason I took the time to figure out how to make walls/ceilings in my house easily hidable for end user, the section planes are super cool, but a lot easier to just click a toggle. Figured that might help make more sales lol.

Sat, May 04, 2024Yep! "Pre-solving" problems for the end user is always a good idea.

Finally had time to mess around with the Iray section plane node and it's a game changer for those of us that didn't know about it. Indoor scenes just got the "Big Red Easy Button" treatment and by turning on the "clip light node" it lets you keep the rooms actual lighting that you would lose when hiding walls and props!
Thank you dim35 for the question and Foxy 3D for the answer!
