Hexagon 2

I was watching the discussion in Luxe's recent thread and was wondering about Hexagon 2. I used to love using Hexagon but it got to a point where the screen would no longer redraw properly and I'm wondering if they ever fixed it.
Also, is it possible to send Genesis 9 over to Hexagon 2 with at least the base colour texture intact while you sculpt?
One final thing I remember is that there was an issue with sculpting symmetry on posed figures (or something like that), and I'm wondering if they fixed it. It's true could just download it, but I'm on a very slow connection at the moment so thought it would be better to ask.

Always remember mate, you can't keep a good program down if it's good enough!
I genuinely believe Hexagon's a very powerful and well-designed modeler, but it's been a while now since I've used it. I was never able to get to the bottom of whether the problems I started having with it were down to hardware changes, graphics drivers, or the program itself.
I was pretty damn choked about it and It's likely I would never have stopped using it that hadn't happened. I'm even secretly hoping they've updated it and made it an integral part of Daz Studio 5!

Tue, Mar 04Why not send it to Blender with the management of hardware zones ?

I do use blender, I don't know what you mean about "Hardware Zones" though.
Something I'm currently looking into is sending over to blender using the Daz bridge, and then importing back. What surprises me about the Daz bridge is that (unless I'm just not aweare of it), there is no way to work on a morph in blender and have Daz Studio automatically update the edits you make in blender, in the Daz viewport.

What little people I knew in the past who used Hexagon had moved on other software. I tried it and couldn't figure it out, but Carrara? Oh, yes. Their best piece of software for me. It was perfect and they haven't come up with an update close to a decade. It's peculiar how they keep Daz studio and don't think of their other programs and Daz studio 5 is definitely due to at least be in the works. However, with their own AI not sure.

Totally with you on Carrara and I really miss using it. I remember travelling hundreds of miles by car just to purchase the full physical copy of Ray Dream Studio, one that came with a big and fat printed User Manual (it used to be called Ray Dream Studio prior to Carrara).
I could be wrong, but I reckon Hexagon and some of Carrara's modelling tools share the same code, so I'm really surprised to hear you didn't get along with Hexagon.

The latest version of Hexagon is 2.5.2.109 from November 20, 2017
@V8Infinite

Tue, Mar 04Sometimes online translators are approximate, when I have a doubt I check with another one. In the end I use 3: Google Translate, Reverso and DeepLP Translate.
