ClipStudio paint for restyling Daz renders for comics
157Here are some basic Daz Studio openGL renders converted to comic art with one filter pass
in Clip studio Paint and one in photoshop CS6 (perpetual).
Next I will apply this filter to batch process some animation frame in Clip studio paint.

Fri, Mar 14I agree, do you follow some someone's work system, or is it your work system, to achieve that shader?
Hi, these are just cartooning post filters that are in existing softwares such Clip studio paint, Photoshop even Gimp.
No AI or custom system needed ,just experiment with the filters
This type of post filtering for a comic book/Graphic novel style has existed for many years.
Daz is selling their filatoon system and special filatoon content that requires Daz studio geoshells to trick people into thinking they need to buy something from Daz.
instead of doing this kind of cartoon/comic art with software they probably already own.
you can even make comic book style animations with Blender
with free matcaps in Blender.

Quick question - does this work as 3d program (I noticed when looking at the site that there is a face modelling section) where models can be imported or is it designed to work with images rendered in another software which are imported in like photoshop? If it isn't then its no biggy just thought I'd ask. The manga/toon version - which is what I'm interested in is a bit out of my price range at the moment but using it with Daz's filatoon might produce some interesting results.

CSP has some very primitive posable 3D figure options to use as reference for drawings but I dont personally have any use for them as I will be using rigged 3D models posed and rendered in Blender in NPR styles as base art for my next graphic novel.
I will be using a combination of photoshop posterization and the Carton filters and drawing tools of clip studio paint for final line passes as needed.
These test images show the style I have developed which uses any 3D content in blender with no need for so called Filatoon content from Daz

I made some further refinements to the technique
for a consistent look.
Time to start designing some original main Characters and writing the story.
