The old Vermeer-Room (ca.2012)
3D Render by MjrkThis was my first try on the typical Vermeer corner. Made in Poser with models in built in Cinema 4D.
I used 2 grids made wit sweeps in C4D: the first contained the most important lines found in one of
Vermeer's pictures ("The Astronomer", if I remember right); the second grid with the lines and the spiral
from the "Golden Rule".
I was astonished how many lines in the original picture matched with the golden rule. But perhaps
it is no wonder, because they say he used a camera obscura and I guess he had those lines on the screen(?)
Even the knob on the painters stick lies on the crossing point of two lines.
Anyway - the actor then was Michael 4 with dynamic clothes from Esha.
Rendered in Cinema, the light rays were added in Photoshop.
Thanks for looking!

I think you started of with this and went way up to a more complex scene by Vermeer

Mon, Apr 22, 2024In deed, there are about 12 years between this 2 pictures. I don't know why, but I cannot get photorealistic renderings from Cinema 4D anymore. So I use DAZ-Studio for the renderings. And it is less complicated than importing and re-texturing the figures from Poser to C4D.

Mon, Apr 22, 2024I think that's most reasonable, switching back and forth through software and retexturing is time consuming. You could focus more on the idea this way besides getting the desired results.
