My beloved and dear pomeranian had a stroke and just could not come back from it. We had to euthanize him to stop his suffering. I held him in my arms as the doctor did the procedure. Thankfully he peacefully fell to sleep then seconds later drifted away. In that second 17 years of life, love and experiences just vanished! Gone! No death rattle, no fanfare, no angles chorus... nothing. My friend was just gone. the world never stopped, it never skipped a beat, it never acknowledged his life.. it just never cared...
