3D Render by Splatterbaby... never give up, always keep learning, push all boundaries and dominate all obstacles as we are the rockstars of our world.
Hi everyone.
So this is a first Large vid from start to end of one of the ways that I work.
Instead of this being a bit of a tutorial its more trying to show ways of working and basic pipelines.
This isnt a normal polished image but its inteded to start minds thinking in different ways.
Ive worked in the industry for over 20 years from VFX in film, tv to games and VR as artist , Art director, lecturer and Director.
I love teaching and always love sharing things I have learnt along the way.
Everyday I still learn and thats the beauty about the always expanding industry we are in.
Artists are amazing and we have always had a culture of lifting one another and sharing ideas and ways. We leave greed and hatred at the door.
We create, we are free thinkers and we literally shape the world.
In this vid I will try and open your mind to different techniques and ways of creating an image.
Alot of people including myself when I was younger always felt that If I created an image using NO post that it was an incredible thing.
Later in life I discovered it was the one thing that prevented people from hiring an artist.
In a company people want layers and option, AOV,s and as much power of an image and its layers as possible.
In the working world clients dont care how we get there.
Its always about the final result and how easy it is to change without rendering it all again.
For our personal projects its a different story:)
In this vid Ill go over an extremely basic version of a bigger pipline. This is as simplistic as it gets.
Ill start to go bigger and bigger and more complicated but lets start simple.
For personal works its fine what you do but it works differently in the real world.
The magic happens in Comp. They are the wizzards of film, TV and even games.
They make the worlds look as one and create magic that can never be done fully in 3D.
Comp artists are the Magicians of the digital world.
As always ask questions if you need and hope it helps one or two of you:)
Thanks for watching.

Once more, thank you so much for a thought-provoking post. Something that gives the mind to chew on.
Maybe…the answer I haven't seen yet.
My older computer, just cant handle the good stuff (heck a figure or couple, would cause her to chug away for days, literally. And that was before iray)
The new one, throws it all out for me. Refraction, reflections, DoF, lighting/shadows, 4k...all the good stuff. Yet something is missing.
Perhaps the "missing" part is the postwork.
Thank you. You are an incredible asset to the community. One I am so thankful for having my path cross with. I am very fortunate to have your voice in the art world.
