I was reading a sci-fi book a while back, and within the first couple of paragraphs the ship is attacked. One of the characters proclaims, "space pirates!" which I found hilarious because if you're used to living in space, wouldn't they just be "pirates"? Anyway, I chuckle every time I think of that term, and this crew just kinda popped into my head.
