Serpent's Promise
3D Render by Render scribeShe hesitated for only a moment longer. Then, without ceremony, she raised the glass to her lips.
The army did not cheer. They did not move. But as the last drop vanished, the serpent’s grip tightened ever so slightly—its promise fulfilled...
It was fun getting creative with the mandatory assets, so I integrated the crowd and stage models into the scene. The crowd, represented by the army in the background, provides scale and context, while the stage forms the foundation for the focal composition, anchoring the central elements in a structured setting.
One of the most technically challenging aspects of this render was simulating the numerous layers of fabric. Each piece was carefully crafted and cut to achieve the desired result of rich, fluid silk. The edges were refined with gold thread to add subtle reflective detail. Most of the materials were built from the ground up.
The yellow silk flowing from the dress was difficult to get right; I wanted it to have depth, almost like a gradient of cream melting on the floor.
Please let me know if you require additional screenshots or video to further prove the authenticity of the project.
Thank you for this opportunity. This contest has truly helped me experiment and grow as an artist. I wish you all the best of luck.
Asset Requirements:
I used the required stage model and all of its assets. The structure of the required models was not modified. Only minimal materials were applied, and I included personal models in the scene as permitted for this submission. No AI was used to manipulate or alter the image.
Post-Processing Notes:
The image was post-processed in Photoshop with adjustments to color balance, contrast, and exposure. A high-pass filter (27%) was applied on a secondary layer to enhance edge definition, followed by a Gaussian blur (12%) on a third layer set to Overlay at 15% opacity. Levels were adjusted to BWG for checking grey values. All corrections were completed on separate layers with opacity values between 10–37%. While these steps could have been done in Blender, my current computer is a potato for composite processing power.

Thank you!
I spent such a long time on this project. It was the little details that took the most workthe stitches, finding the right kind of silk, and controlling the light. Every element came together in the end to create this final piece.

Please submit a render with the default runway that was provided, This is beautiful and I think not being on the runway is grounds for dq. Don't wanna see a masterpiece removed from the competition

Wed, Aug 13I used the runway. The walkway and wall behind is from the runway model, I just changed the material and added curtains and a background environment.
The rules do not say that I cannot l add accessories to the runway or change the material, does it?

Who all agrees?
…If not I will re-render without my materials and props.
I know this competition is meant for creativity and finding ways to think outside the box to make something new.
The runway plays such a small part. This is mostly about the dress and character design, right?

Another thing, I also used the crowd; they are the army in the background.
If you still think it’s not enough I can change it or provide more screen shots of the stage.
Thank you for pointing this out to me. I worked really hard on this project and would hate to see it get removed from the contest.

Wed, Aug 13I'm no moderator, but I just could not tell that it was the runway. If I were you I'd add one more render just in case. It's really not clear how much we can alter in the runway.
The required crowd asset has been moved to the foreground to avoid confusion on its inclusion, and the stage is untouched aside from a basic material application. My personal models remain included in the submission as originally intended.
If moderators review my submission and identify any issues, please inform me, and I will make the necessary updates.
