Story 2 of 3: La Résistance Romantique – Surrender

Atlana released her weapons with a broad, mischievous smile, but the Interceptor Bot remained unmoved, registering only a gesture of surrender.

Unlike Atlana, who was tickled pink at the thought of keeping a secret from another machine, Filan simply threw down her weapon in acquiescence. There was no point in trading subtleties with a non-sentient bot that lacked the independent reasoning they both possessed.

I pity you. You will never be able to understand what is about to happen to you... but then again, perhaps not knowing is a blessing, sympathized Filan.

Filan gripped the handle of Firestorm with her left hand, hidden behind Atlana’s body...

"R.I.P." whispered Atlana under her simulated breath.
