Desert Model the Willem Room
3D Render by jedimangiaWillem... Profile One
Willem is the motel guest, he and his secretary have been renting some rooms all season... some rooms? Yes, you read that right, Madelene, her brother-in-law tells her. The motel is Madelene's property, her brother-in-law helps her do the hard work, but business is not good. She receives offers from the bank every month to buy the property but she doesn't want to give it away as a matter of pride, the bank has led her poor husband to depression and suicide and she hates those people.
Willem saved her and her debts with his arrival, but after learning Madelene's story, he takes advantage of it.
Willem is a mysterious man, appearing out of nowhere with a bag full of money to stay in a motel on the edge of society for a whole season. Madelene often deserved that he was a robber but never reported him so as not to lose his only source of income!
Technical Note:
What do you think of the Guppo command? Do you use it? Yes, NO?
I find this a fundamental command.
One of the reasons I use the Group command is because it allows me to turn off and thicken numerous objects with a single click.
This also allows me to freeze an entire forest and be able to easily select my actor inside.
The group command also allows me to move numerous objects and handle multiple situations far apart in a single scene.
The turn off and on feature also helps me with the population issue; an overpopulated scene could break my graphics card, so I only turn on and off the strictly necessary actors, even in scenarios that have a total number of actors greater than my card's memory power.
About the rendering:
Outdoor rendering has no lights and no headlights, no HDRI, and no sunlight.
Light and environment are activated in Iray's controls without using images as background.
So everything just becomes a very careful configuration of its standard parameters.
Yes, the camera has been calibrated.
Yes, I did a post-production but I only used three commands and I didn't use AI, and the commands weren't direct commands, but it was an unusual process. All the photo editing was done using RGB channels separately, each change was done with some masking done with the selection and the result is what you see, when did the photo editing last? 2 minutes? Yes, it lasted very little. I've attached the RAW image and the retouched one to talk to you if you're interested in this topic.
If this information interests you or has been helpful, please let me know. I'm very interested in further technical discussions with you.
thank you
Mangia
