He was a wealthy recluse with a photography hobby. She was looking for work as a model, but was offered only jobs where she would agree to pose nude. She had several options, work for an artist or art class, making a pittance. The second option was pornographic work, in questionable circumstances that could easily be called illegal and dangerous. The third was to find a wealthy patron who would treat her and pay her well. There was a good chance that no one in her family would see the photos. He took them for himself to decorate his many homes around the country. It was the depression and people did what they needed to to survive. She not only survived, but lived quite well.
Today’s shoot involved some baskets of fresh flowers and the early morning sun. It was easy work, and times would get better.
