Binoculars, Pole Mounted, Stellarator, V1 3D Model
A free 3D model by Stellarator, adapted for Daz Studio by Luke Turner
(AKA Luqu, Luqu Trnr, Lukon100, Volcanoface, Doubt45, Illuwuz).
"QUICKLY NOW, I JUST INSTALLED IT BUT CAN'T FIND IT. WHERE IS IT?"
In the content manager it is here:

Binoculars, Pole Mounted, Stellarator, V1
Binoculars, Pole Mounted, V1
Note: If I revise this model and re-issue it, I will increment all instances of the "V1" to "V2" and so on.
This V1 release is meant to be a "beta" release. Help me improve future releases by sending me critiques and requests for features.
Loads in at High Resolution: 77,702 verts, 76,784 faces
Optional Base resolution: 5,070 verts, 4,930 faces
BACKGROUND
As a person living in poverty, I wanted a free pole mounted binoculars prop to go into my Observation Deck model. So I found one made by Stellarator over on BlendSwap. And I can modify it and share it with you by way of the CC-BY license that permits me to do so if I plainly credit the maker, Stellarator. I thus do so.
Stellarator's original model is rigged for Blender users.
If ye be a Blender user, you might just use their Blender version instead of this one for Daz.
I rigged this one for Daz Studio, and added the ability to elevate the viewer on the pole.
But if ya got money to spend, do also check out some of the pay ones. RenderHub, for example, has several nice looking pole mounted ones. Just search the word "binoculars".
SHORTCOMINGS
This 3D model ain't perfect. It's construction reflects my current beginner's skill level with Blender and Daz.
But it looks ok from a typical distance, I think.
VERSIONS AND FEATURES
This V1 release download includes the model in DAZ Studio format and .obj format.
The Daz Studio version is rigged to pose as ya like. All posing controls are in the "Parameters" tab.
The .obj version has the vertex groups defined to permit rigging it in some other programs.
The Daz Studio version comes with a few materials presets that use some shaders from Daz Studio's default resources, as they stood in DS version 4.11. But there's also some custom image maps made by Stellarator, or derived there from.
The .obj version has no materials applied, of course. You need to apply your own shaders/materials to it.
The Daz Studio version loads into Daz Studio at "High Resolution" and at subdivision level 2. So you can reduce to "Base" for distance shots.
The .obj version in other programs may look much better if you likewise apply sub-division to it.
LICENSING / PERMISSIONS
Please credit Stellarator when you publish pictures featuring this model.
I assume you are bound by the same CC-BY license terms as am I, and thus must credit Stellarator when re-destributing this model. I also presume you may not charge money for it either.
