Luxury Art Deco Chess Set, Modular Board - Haute Joaillerie 3D Model
Haute Joaillerie is an Art Deco luxury chess set designed like high jewellery: a pavé diamond belt, fluted columns, a Royal Blue line of calibré sapphires and crowns set with pearls. Six original piece designs make a full 34-piece set, completed by a modular 600 mm board.
WHAT YOU GET
- 6 print-ready piece designs: King, Queen, Bishop, Knight, Rook and Pawn, each in STL, 3MF and OBJ (print each design in two finishes for the white and black armies)
- Modular board: 16 modules in STL, 3MF and OBJ (field tile, square inlay, 4 corner and 8 straight frame pieces, butterfly key, foot)
- Print & Assembly Guide (PDF, in the Board archive): quantities, print settings, weighting and board assembly
SIZES
- King 110 mm (base Ø50 mm), Queen 100 mm, Bishop 90 mm, Knight 88 mm, Rook 82 mm, Pawn 62 mm (base Ø31 mm)
- Board 600 x 600 mm with 64 mm squares: 16 field tiles, 64 square inlays, 12 frame pieces, 52 hidden butterfly keys and 4 optional feet
FILES IN THE DOWNLOAD
One ZIP package that contains:
- Six STL archives, one per piece design (King, Queen, Bishop, Knight, Rook, Pawn)
- Board archive: the 16 board modules (STL) and the Print & Assembly Guide (PDF)
- Two 3MF archives and two OBJ archives with the same files in those formats
PRINT SETTINGS
- Every file is a closed, manifold single shell with outward normals, in millimetres; the pieces have flat bases
- Printer: high-resolution resin (SLA, MSLA or DLP), XY 50 microns or finer. Tough or ABS-like resin for display pieces, castable resin for lost-wax casting
- Layer height: 25 microns for final prints, 50 microns for test prints
- Orientation: upright, base flat on the build plate, exactly as modelled. A 0.6 mm foot chamfer absorbs the first-layer bulge
- Supports: none needed. Downward-facing surfaces are kept at 45 degrees or steeper; only the Knight's chin (about 30 degrees) may want 2–3 light supports
- Quantities: 2 Kings, 4 Queens (one extra per side), 4 Bishops, 4 Knights, 4 Rooks and 16 Pawns, half in each finish
- Weighting: glue a steel or tungsten disc into the bore under each piece and cover it with a felt pad (tungsten recommended for the Rooks)
- Board: tiles and frame in SLS (PA12) or on a large-bed FDM printer (0.4 mm nozzle, 0.12–0.16 mm layers, top face up, no supports); inlays, keys and feet in resin. 52 butterfly keys join the modules
- Print a Pawn first to tune exposure and fit
Full details are in the Print & Assembly Guide (PDF) inside the Board archive.
PLEASE NOTE
All images are renders that show the intended finishes (platinum, black rhodium, diamonds, sapphires and pearls). The files are single-material print masters, ready to paint or plate. The finest details (milgrain, setting beads) need a high-resolution resin printer.
