Hydra 70 Rocket 2.75 inch
The Hydra 70 rocket is a 2.75-inch fin-stabilized unguided rocket used primarily in the air-to-ground role.
It can be equipped with a variety of warheads, and in more recent versions, guidance systems for point attacks.
Warheads:
M151 - High-Explosive (HE) an antipersonnel, antimaterial warhead.
M156 - White phosphorus munitions (WP) primarily used for target marking and incendiary purposes.
M229 - High-Explosive (HE) an elongated version of the M151.
M230 - Practice. This warhead is used for training and testing purposes.
M247 - High-Explosive anti-tank (HEAT) / High-explosive dual purpose (HEDP). With a shape charge for antiarmor capability
M255A1 - Flechette Warhead is intended to be used against light material and personnel targets.
M257 - Parachute illumination. It can illuminate an area in excess of one square kilometer at optimum height.
M259 - Smoke-Screening (White Phosphorous). It provides the capability to produce tactical smoke screens.
M261 - Multi-purpose submunition (MPSM). Provides improved lethal effectiveness against area targets such as light armor, wheeled vehicles, material, and personnel.
M264 - Red phosphorus (RP) Smoke. Used to provide a protective smoke screen
M267 - Smoke Signature Practice round is a physical and ballistic match and is identical in operation to the M261.
M274 - Practice (Smoke). This warhead is used for training and support testing purpose.
M278 - Infra-red (IR) parachute illumination.
M282 - Multipurpose penetrator warhead
MK 67 MOD 0 - White phosphorus smoke warhead.
MK 67 MOD 1 - Red phosphorus smoke warhead
WDU 4A/A - Flechette Warhead. Used primarily for antipersonnel operations.
Fuzes:
M423 - Nose Mount, Point Detonating.
M435 - Inert for training.
