QuickChange for DAZ Studio
--- DEMO VIDEO COMING SOON ---
QuickChange is a native, dockable pane that turns dressing and undressing your
figures into a one-click library workflow.
Save any outfit your figure is wearing as a named, tagged preset, then browse
your whole wardrobe and re-apply a full look - or just the pieces you want - to
any compatible figure, in a single click. No more digging through content
folders, loading items one by one, or rebuilding the same outfit from scratch.
KEY FEATURES ------------------
- Save the Worn Outfit as a Preset
"Hang" whatever your selected figure is wearing into your library as a
standard Daz wearables preset (.duf). Pick exactly which worn items to
include, name it, tag it, and save - a framed thumbnail is generated
automatically.
- Browse Your Wardrobe
Every saved outfit in one scrollable panel, as a thumbnail grid or a compact
list. Each entry shows its preview, name, tags, and figure generation. Filter
instantly by name, by generation, or by tags, and sort by name or creation
date in either direction.
- One-Click Quick Apply
Apply a complete outfit straight from its card. QuickChange removes the
figure's current clothes and dresses it in the preset in a single click -
keeping likely-permanent items (hair, lashes, geografts, etc.) in place. You
don't even have to select the figure itself: picking any part of it - a worn
item, or a body part - is enough for QuickChange to find the target figure.
- Full or Partial Apply
Open an outfit in Detail to choose exactly which pieces to apply, and whether
to replace the current outfit or stack the new one over it. When replacing,
QuickChange shows you the worn items it is about to remove so you can spare
anything you want to keep.
- One Undo Restores the Old Outfit
An apply is grouped into a single step: one Ctrl+Z puts the previous outfit
back.
- Tags
Organize outfits with tags (casual, formal, sci-fi, a character name…) and
filter the library by one or several tags at once, with AND / OR matching.
Rename or delete tags across your whole library from one place.
- Foot Pose with Heels
Optionally store the foot pose (heel angle, toes) alongside an outfit, so
applying a preset with high heels also poses the feet to match - reapplied
only when the shoes are actually applied.
- Automatic Framed Previews
Thumbnails are captured cleanly and centered, isolated from the rest of your
scene. Choose the framing per preset - full body, feet, a hand, or the face -
and regenerate a preview any time.
- Generation-Aware
Presets are stamped with their figure generation (G3, G8, G8.1, G9).
QuickChange only offers to apply an outfit to a compatible figure, so you
never fight incompatible rigs (G8 and G8.1 are treated as one family).
- Tidy Library Management
Multi-select outfits to delete them (with their previews) in one action, set
where your library lives, and rescan the folder to rebuild the index after
adding or removing presets outside the plugin. Presets live in your Content
Library, so they are also browsable natively.
- Native Look & Feel
A clean interface styled to match Daz Studio's own look - fully dockable,
floatable, and resizable like any built-in pane.
WHO IT'S FOR ------------------
Any Daz Studio artist who reuses outfits across scenes and characters -
comic/sequential art, series and turntables, character wardrobes, or simply
anyone tired of re-dressing figures by hand - who wants a fast, library-driven
way to save and re-apply complete looks.
REQUIREMENTS ------------------
- Daz Studio 4.5+ or Daz Studio 6
- Windows 64-bit
CHANGELOG --------------------
1.0.0 - 2026-08-06
- Initial version of the plugin.
