Marleen Kaptein - Label Breed Carbon Fibre Chair 3D Model
Carbon Chair
SIZE:cm W65xD64xH82
Dutch designer Marleen Kaptein has partnered with design brand Label/Breed to create a chair from ribbons of robotically wrapped carbon fibre.
The designer worked with the Netherlands Aerospace Centre (NLR) and its automated fibre placement robot in the creation of the furniture.
The machine usually creates parts for aircraft and spacecraft, and lays several separate strips of carbon fibre in different directions.
The robot can adapt each strand as required for specific products, meaning there's less waste.
Kaptein, who also runs design agency Kaptein Roodnat, started out with a dragonfly wing-shaped section, using it to determine the curves and maximum thickness of the final chair.
The chair features a grid-patterned seat and back, supported by a framework of compressed recycled carbon.
Kaptein hopes to make further chairs that will create a continuous pattern when placed side-by-side.
It is the high-quality hi-poly smoothable 3D model Carbon chair used in various fields 3D Graphics such as: game development, advertising, interior design, motion picture art, visualization, etc..
All details of design are recreated most authentically.
The competently think over topology of model allows to using any smoothing modifiers. All parts of the model need to smooth in subdivision level 1 or 2 for the best result.
Polygon count of non-smooth model 31257
