1987 March Leyton House 871 3D Model
Developed by the March Racing Team for the 1987 Formula One season, the March 871 featured a Cosworth DFZ V8 engine and was piloted by Italian driver Ivan Capelli, the 1986 International Formula 3000 champion. Sponsored by Japanese real estate firm Leyton House, the team initially struggled with delays: the 871 chassis was unavailable for the season opener in Brazil, forcing the use of a temporary F3000/F1 hybrid model, the March 87P. The 871 debuted at the second race in San Marino, with Capelli securing the team’s sole points through a 6th-place finish at the Monaco Grand Prix. Despite limited success, the car and driver earned 4th place in the Colin Chapman Trophy standings, which recognized constructors of naturally aspirated engine-equipped vehicles.
