Nightfall Artisan Lantern - Gothic Candle Lantern Prop
A little light for gothic interiors, fantasy scenes and night-time journeys.
Nightfall Artisan Lantern is a detailed native DAZ Studio prop built around fabricated metalwork and warm candlelight. Its door swings on a real hinge pivot, its flat carry strap folds on its pins, and its candle has shape controls for flame lean, flame height and burning down. The glass panes have real thickness.
WHAT IS INCLUDED
- One native four-part lantern assembly: body, door, carry handle and candle with flame.
- Three candle shape controls (Flame Lean, Flame Height, Candle Burn Down), plus separate door and handle articulation.
- Four metal finishes: Blackened Bronze, Old Silver, Weathered Copper, Deep Iron.
- Four wax tints: Warm, Crimson, Charcoal, Forest.
- Four real mesh-light presets: Unlit, Low (150 lm), Standard (2000 lm), Bright (10000 lm). Warm 3000 K light illuminates nearby objects and follows the candle controls.
- Four glass choices: Clear, Smoked, Frosted, No Glass.
- Eight door / handle / reset presets and four placement helpers (left hand, right hand, ground, detach).
- Seven original 4096 x 4096, 16-bit PNG PBR maps on a shared packed UV atlas.
- Individual Content Library icons, documentation and separate 4K UV references.
DESIGN DETAILS
Formed roof sheets and seams, pierced chimney, rounded edges, interleaved hinge knuckles, retained pins, slotted fasteners, curled latch, rolled candle saucer, soft melted wax and an asymmetric gradient flame. Metal, wax, glass and brightness presets stack independently on the selected lantern, so several lanterns in one scene can each have their own look.
COMPATIBILITY
DAZ Studio 4.24 and DAZ Studio 6 with NVIDIA Iray (both load-tested). Figure-independent scene prop. The hand-placement helpers were tested with Genesis 9 and Genesis 8 Female base figures; they are adjustable starting placements, no finger poses are included. No other content required.
TECHNICAL
89,018 vertices / 177,708 triangles, 44.22 cm tall, no subdivision required. Lighting is a native Iray mesh emitter, no extra point light needed. No dForce, animated flame or smoke, 3Delight materials or Smart Content. The latch is decorative; the door presets swing the door directly.
Rendered in DAZ Studio with Iray. Figures, scenery and studio lighting are not included.
