Competitive swimmer - Rigged 3D Model
Rigged, realistic competitive swimmer. The model mesh is light, but was designed with high enough resolution and precision to be suitable both for real-time applications and offline rendering (the presentation images were rendered with Arnold) without the need of subdivision, in order to maximize compatibility between applications. The model is natively rigged in 3ds Max (so, both the Arnold and Vray versions), with the exported FBX and Blender formats retaining the rig. The other exchange formats are not rigged, since they don't support bones and weights.
The model includes the man, swimming goggles, cap and briefs, partial hairstyle to be used together with the cap, and complete hairstyle to be used without the cap (see presentation images).
There are 8 formats available for the 3D model: 3ds Max - V-Ray, 3ds Max - Arnold, Blender, FBX, OBJ, 3ds, Collada, glTF.
There are 5 texture packages available for different render engines: Arnold, V-Ray, Blender (Cycles, EVEE), Unreal, Unity.
There are 2 looks available: dry and wet (see presentation images). In the 3ds Max versions, they can be selected by altering the number of a node in the material editor between 0 and 1 (it's also possible to achieve in-between levels of wetness from 0 to 1 with the same node). In any other application you simply need to load and overlay the roughness and normal textures with the _wet suffix to achieve the wet look.
Also included is the Substance Painter file of the swimwear (that includes the briefs, goggles and cap), so it's possible to add/remove logos, names, flags, and create new designs.
