Fokker DR1 Jacobs 3D Model
Josef Carl Peter Jacobs (May 15, 1894 - July 29, 1978) was a German flying ace with 48 victories during the First World War. His total tied him with Werner Voss (a close friend of the Red Baron) for fourth place among German aces. It is generally believed that the Red Baron is the top scoring triplane ace but this isn't true. That honor falls to Josef Jacobs who downed more aircraft IN the triplane than did Manfred Richthofen. Manfred is the over all ace of aces in WW1.
Although there is some speculation as to his exact markings, this is a model of his markings based on authentic WW1 reports by British pilots who flew against him and the best available photos.
All control surfaces are set at the correct pivot points.
Comes with non-rigged pilot holding the control column.
Texture is 4096 x 4096 with a separate opacity texture for the louvers on the spandau machineguns.
It is rendered with MAXs standard Skylight.
