British MK.17 Naval Mine 3D Model
.STL files for resin print. Model adapted for 1/72 scale but can be adjusted for other scales.
I added a lifting lug (a mounting loop/chain holder, etc.) option for carriage part. There is also a place for extra weight (lead plate) in the bottom of the carriage. You may use this carriage variant for aquarium 'minefield' decoration :). Metal chain is not included in this package and has to be bought elsewhere. Accuracy is required to separate the model from base supports.
This was the standard British contact mine of WWII and was heavily used. In WWII, British forces used mines offensively to mine enemy waters and sink enemy ships, such as in Operation Wilfred. British forces used mines defensively to stop enemy ships from accessing certain areas through the mined routes.
Whole model height (idle mine placed on carriage) 1/72 scale - 27 mm approx. Mine body height 1/72 scale - 22,7 mm approx.
