The cobbled historic center of Casco Viejo is famous for its colonial-era monuments, including the neoclassical Presidential Palace and flower-lined plazas with cafes and bars. At the Miraflores Lock, you can watch ships pass through the canal that connects the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.
