Rennes or Rennes is a city and commune in France, a prefecture of the department of Ile and Vilaine and the administrative center of the Brittany region. The city is located in the west of France, 308 km from Paris, at the confluence of the Ile and Vilaine rivers. As of 2018, Rennes had 217,728 inhabitants.
