Nürburgring Grand Prix 2016 Layout 3D Model

This model was ripped from an game's Mod

The Nürburgring Grand Prix (GP) circuit is a modern, FIA Grade 1 motorsports facility located in Nürburg, Germany. Constructed in 1984 and redesigned by Hermann Tilke in 2002, the 5.148 km (3.199 miles) circuit features 16 to 17 technical turns and hosts major racing series like DTM and GT Masters.

The track was completed in 1984 and named GP-Strecke. It was built to meet the highest safety standards. However, it was considered in character a mere shadow of its older sibling. Some fans, who had to sit much farther away from the track, called it Eifelring, Ersatzring, Grünering or similar nicknames, believing it did not deserve to be called Nürburgring. Like many circuits of the time, it offered few overtaking opportunities.
