USS Excelsior 5000 for Universal & Object 3D Model

Details
The history of the Excelsior class tends to consist of extremes. Initially fitted with a Transwarp drive and proclaimed "the great experiment", the ship got off to an ignoble start when her engines failed when she was called into action to prevent the theft of the USS Enterprise NCC-1701. Although this was due to deliberate sabotage, it transpired that the prototype had been saved from a major disaster; Engineers working to correct the damage discovered a series of flaws in the Transwarp drive which, if used, would have caused a nacelle implosion that would have destroyed the ship. The USS Excelsior NX-2000 spent nearly a full year in Spacedock as engineering specialists struggled to diagnose and repair the various problems.
Relaunched in early 2286, the ship met with little more success. Although the Transwarp drive's fatal flaw was repaired, the system was subject to major problems and for the next year never completed a successful test, much to the embarrassment of Captain Styles and his crew. Ultimately, Starfleet put the Transwarp project on hold indefinitely while Federation scientific and technological advances caught up with Transwarp theories. For a short time, the Excelsior faced decommissioning.
Instead of allowing the Excelsior to sit idle in Spacedock while a team of uninformed admirals decided what to do with the prototype and embarrassment of the Transwarp project. Starfleet Admiral Harry Morrow ordered an evaluation of the prototype, conducted by some of the Federation's best minds in starship engineering. It was found that there was nothing wrong with the basic engineering of the space structure, and in all other areas, the Excelsior class was still the most advanced ship in Starfleet, by a considerable margin. In light of this, Starfleet quickly decided to equip the Excelsior class with a more conventional propulsion system. This process went remarkably well, and by the end of the year, Excelsior was back in space.
From here the history of the ship jumped from one extreme to the other; From being an embarrassing and costly failure, the Excelsior quickly earned a reputation for outstanding performance and rock-solid reliability that few other designs have matched. Equipped with nearly triple the number of science labs and the most advanced sensor package ever devised by the Federation, the Excelsior-class is a more than adequate successor to the Constitution-class line as Starfleet's primary platform for space exploration. .
Furthermore, its speed and maneuverability, along with its capabilities, make the Excelsior class more than a match for any class of vessel currently serving the Romulan or Klingon fleets, from battlecruisers to Bird of Prey classes.
Based on this description we have made with DAZ 3D Studio this realistic model of the USS Excelsior 5000 spaceship to which we have given different colors in red, green, orange and blue and variations of these colors including the original texture of this type of spacecraft.
