dForce Lola Strapless Dress for Genesis 8 8.1 F and 9

Lola ships as two separate builds. The Genesis 8 Female version is conformed to the Genesis 8 skeleton; the Genesis 9 version is conformed to the Genesis 9 skeleton, with its own weight transfer and its own fit morphs.

Genesis 8.1 Female is covered by the Genesis 8 Female build, which fits it without conversion.

The dress

The strapless bodice is shaped with princess seams at the front and back and closes with a visible zipper at the center back. A smooth yoke sits at the waist, and below it the skirt falls in box pleats to mid-thigh. The princess seams, the waist and the yoke seams are topstitched, and the hem is finished with a double fold.

Polka dot by default

The dress loads in Ivory with black polka dots, a medium 1.5 cm dot. Every color has its own polka dot, dark dots on the light colors and light dots on the dark ones, and every color also comes as a solid.

Color block sets

Eight ready-made sets put the polka dot on the bodice and the skirt and a solid yoke in the color of the dots, so the waist reads as a band.

Mix your own

The bodice, the yoke, the skirt and the zipper each have their own presets, in solid and in polka dot, so you can combine colors and prints in a few clicks. The zipper takes a darker shade of the color you pick.

Fit that you control

Eleven fit morphs, grouped under Dreamline Studios > Fit in the Parameters pane: Bust, Belly, Glutes and Thighs, with Left and Right sliders where it makes sense, plus Skirt Shorten, which raises the hem by about 8 cm. The fabric slides up along the skirt itself, so the pleats stay pleats.

The fit morphs are cut from each build's own rigging, so the Genesis 9 sliders follow Genesis 9 anatomy rather than being copied across from the Genesis 8 build.

dForce ready

The dress ships with a dForce modifier already applied. The top edge of the strapless bodice and the fabric along the zipper are held by an influence map, so the dress stays up, and the rest of the dress moves with a soft gradient from the fitted bodice to the free skirt. The zipper stays out of the simulation and follows the figure.

Stitch detail

A stitch normal map draws the seams and the topstitching. The solid colors come from the material over a shared 4K base map, and each polka dot is its own 4K map, so the dots keep their size on every part of the dress.

- Genesis 9 has its own build. It is not the Genesis 8 dress converted, and it does not require Auto-Fit.
