Boeing B307 Stratoliner 3D Model
This model is built near to scale and fully textured. It has nicely detailed engines. The ailerons, flaps, rudder, elevators, propellers and landing gear are animatable. It is available here in several different formats. All textures and materials are included.
The Boeing 307 was the first airliner designed with cabin pressurization making flights above 10,000 feet a capability.
These airliners were the first four-engine Boeing airliner and were a development of the four-engine heavy bomber B-17C. The Wings, tail, stabilizers, engines, and landing gear were all identical to the B-17C. The Fuselage was a low drag aerodynamic circular shape allowing for the cabin pressurization to be efficiently incorporated. The cabin was over 12 feet wide. It was designed as a luxurious airliner and was the state of the art for her day in 1935.
The airplane could routinely cruise at 20,000 feet allowing fewer weather delays and also the ability to fly above much bad weather. It was also the first airliner requiring a flight engineer. She carried 33 passengers.
