My work explores the relationship between Critical theory and daytime TV. With influences as diverse as Wittgenstein and Francis Bacon, new combinations are distilled from both mundane and transcendant narratives. Ever since I was a child I have been fascinated by the traditional understanding of relationships. What starts out as hope soon becomes finessed into a hegemony of futility, leaving only a sense of failing and the possibility of a new synthesis. As spatial replicas become clarified through frantic and critical practice, the viewer is left with a hymn to the possibilities of our future.
